Founders

Marissa Petteruti, Background: Parsons BFA Fashion Design graduate and winner of the 2018 YOOXYGEN Award. Petteruti’s work focuses on sustainable design, transformable garments, and the social impact of fashion. Her thesis collection inspired the Amendment x Yoox capsule, which she developed further during a six-month internship in Milan.

Background

Amendment x Yoox was launched as part of Yoox’s ongoing partnership with Parsons School of Design, now in its third year. The project began with the YOOXYGEN Award, established in 2017 to support outstanding fashion design students from Parsons. The award includes a six-month internship in Milan and culminates in the creation of a capsule collection that adheres to sustainable principles. The Amendment x Yoox collection marks a milestone in Yoox’s decade-long commitment to sustainable fashion, following the launch of YOOXYGEN in 2009 as the first online destination dedicated to responsible fashion.

The Amendment x Yoox capsule collection debuted in 2018, featuring the work of Marissa Petteruti. The collection was developed as part of the YOOXYGEN Award program, which provides mentorship and career-launching opportunities for emerging designers. The partnership with Parsons School of Design has continued to evolve, with each year’s winner creating a new capsule collection that reflects the latest in sustainable design.
