Emma Young, Background: Grew up in Birmingham, England, influenced by the city's industrial heritage. Studied product design at Central St Martins School of Art. Co-founded the design agency Kiwi & Pom and Falcon Enamelware. Oversees creative direction including product development, art direction, and collaborations. Drawn instinctively to colors and materials.. Kam Young, Background: Born in New Zealand, raised in a kitchen environment with parents owning a handmade noodle business and a Chinese restaurant. Studied industrial design in New Zealand and worked internationally as a design consultant before settling in London. Co-founded Kiwi & Pom and Falcon Enamelware. Focuses on detail and 3D form in creative direction.

Background

Originally created by Joe Kleiner & Sons in the 1920s in the Black Country near Birmingham, Falcon Enamelware became a staple of British home life with its distinctive white enamel and blue rim design. After decades, the brand was revitalized in 2011 by Emma and Kam Young, who brought fresh colors, improved durability, and new product lines. The brand is now based in London’s design district Clerkenwell and sells internationally.

Falcon Enamelware was established in the 1920s by Joe Kleiner & Sons in England’s Black Country. The brand gained popularity for its durable, affordable, and recognizable enamelware. In 2010, Emma and Kam Young discovered the brand while sourcing enamelware for a restaurant design project. They took over the brand in 2011, modernizing it with new colors, improved product durability, and expanded ranges, successfully reintroducing Falcon to a global market.
